Practice Nurses have routine appointments throughout the day. They provide non scheduled appointments providing flexibility for busy working people and to allow extra support for those needing a guardian. Clinics can involve:

- Women’s health – contraception, cervical screening

Receptionists

They are trained Care Navigators; so to enable them to direct you to the appropriate service you will be asked for a brief indication of your illness. A Blackburn team of midwives will co-ordinate maternity care at the Birthing Centre 01254 733434 and running antenatal clinics and at the Sure Start Centre in Pringle Street on Friday mornings. Contact number: 01254 507750.

Our attached health visitors work primarily with families and young children. Contact number: 01254 584344.
Clinical Community Pharmacist – Tasneem Moosa
Our Clinical Pharmacists consult with and treats patients directly. They undertake medication reviews and provide advice and support to patients who are taking multiple medicines (polypharmacy) and are managing long-term conditions. They also support the rest of the clinical team with resolving day-to-day medicine issues and providing clinical advice about medications and treatments. She helps update repeat medication and also reviews some patients on complex or multiple drugs. She has bookable clinics on Friday mornings.
Practice Pharmacy Technician – Victoria Brown
Our Pharmacy Technician supports all members of the practice team with medication related issues or projects. Andrea also provides a link role to our local pharmacies.
